Once upon a time, in the eternal past, before the beginning began, there was God – all by Himself. Out of fellowship driven by love, He created Man in His own image, fashioned him in His own likeness, and gave him dominion over all the work of His hands. Man fell and lost the dominion. Yet, God loved Man.
Man died spiritually – Separated from his source. Yet, God loved Man.
Man wants to approach God, but he could not. His sense of loneliness and emptiness with a deep longing for something eternal that will satisfy his thirsty soul drives him to fashion images out of trees, stones, fire, and bow to them as his gods. Man was degraded beyond repairs.
Man was bankrupt. He owes far more that he could pay. He became a slave to sin. Nothing in the universe could pay for man’s sin or restore him back to fellowship with his creator. Yet, God loved Man.
The eternal love with which He loved man would not allow Him abandon him. Since man sinned, it is of necessity that man must pay for man. Therefore, he became man, and assumed the position and responsibility of man, knowing sure well it would not just cost him betrayal, pains, ridicule, but it would also cost him his life. For the price of life is death.
The cup set before him contained the sins man has committed since Adam, the sins man was committing at that material time, and the sins mankind is capable of committing in eternity to come. So ugly was the cup that he wished it would pass him by. But then, he remembered me. He remembered you. And said “Not as I will, but your will be done.”
For our sakes, he became the very thing he hated – SIN. He united with Satan in death, thereby breaking the power of Sin, and overthrowing the kingdom of Satan. He broke my shackles and set me free. He gave me his righteousness as a gift, and his spirit as a seal, that I am His and He is mine.
I am of God. I hail from God. I am made of God, in Christ. The very raw materials that fashioned my being are wrought in Christ. I have no expiry date. No wonder God would not dwell in Heavens or temples made with hands, but in the temple He made by Himself, for Himself – ME! If the heavens and the universe put together cannot contain Him, and I house him comfortably, HOW GREAT I AM to house the creator of both the seen and the unseen realities. HOW GLORIOUS I AM.
You see, the value of a substance is measured by its payment. No earthly substance could buy me. Not the diamond mines of Congo, the gold mines of Ghana, or the oil wells of Nigeria, but the precious blood of Jesus Christ, the lamb of God – HOW PRECIOUS I AM.
Hence, let no man trouble me for I bear in my body the mark of Christ. He washed me clean and set me up to occupy the seat of the Gods in the Heavenlies, as a King, not to shout but to decree, as a Priest, to come before him in all boldness on behalf of myself and others.
The Angels like messengers & soldiers are always on alert to provide and protect the Heavenly citizen – ME! The ambassador of the Kingdom – ME! Put in mind, the ambassador of a kingdom is not as poor as the nation in which he lives, but he is as rich as the nation he represents.
Satan and his cohorts lost when they crucify the Lord, for had they known, they would not have crucified the King of glory. Death and Sickness lost their power over me.
The Lord is My Shepherd. He is My Light and My Salvation, My Wisdom, My Righteousness, My Sanctification, My Redeemer, My Healer, My Deliverer, My Strength. He is my Inheritance, My Provider, My Comforter, My Peace, My Shelter, My Hope, My Saviour, My Counsellor, My Beginning and My End, My Amen, My Glory.
He is My Joy, My Love, My Big Brother, the Author and Finisher of My Faith, My Maker, My Source, My Grace, My Keeper, My Life, My Exceeding Great Reward, My All in All.
He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think of, according to the power that works in me, because He is my Father! Oh, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God!
