Aderonke Esther Oyewole, a young female Entrepreneur and investor who is also a student at Istanbul Gelisim University, Istanbul, Turkey has been nominated for Global Peace Summit Turkey 2020 to represent Nigeria.
She counted this as a step in the right direction as a passionate change maker. This year GPC selected 200 candidates from all over the world and she was selected as the only fully funded delegate to represent Nigeria.
They provided fully-funded, partially, and self-funded seats. Participants were selected based on their application, social experience, and leadership qualities.
As one of the nominated Global Peace Delegate, it is expected that the summit is to build resilience, cultivate the culture of tolerance, inclusivity, interfaith harmony, co-existence, love, and social peace across the borders through peace camps in educational institutions, interactive sessions, peace talks with society stakeholders, diplomats, ambassadors, influential community groups, UN officials, religious scholars, and community-based organizations across the globe.
She also said it’s an occasion that will help her brainstorm, share her ideas, and proffer solutions to the peace problems faced by Nigeria and the whole world with other change-makers across the world.

As a Global Peace Ambassador, she will receive the Certificate of Global Peace Ambassador and the opportunity to represent her country in a Peace Summit to be held at the United Nations Head Quarters. She will also attend the Peace Summit in her own country.

She was overwhelmed with joy and also mentioned that it means a lot to her, out of all the applications from different countries in the world this year, hers’ wasn’t only selected but also accepted as a fully funded meritorious position for the summit.
She also stated that the Global Peace Summit Turkey 2020 will foster mutual understanding and harness capacity building of youth. Social harmony, exposure, and ideation to create a new impact.
GPST also aims to engage young people in conflict resolution, amplify their voice for social justice, and create a harmonious environment among communities & societies.
