So I surrendered myself to Jesus when I was around six. That was early, huh?
Well, subsequent years were full of flounderings and shakings and tiltings of my faith.
One of the things I have to come to understand is that doing God’s will is as important as surrendering my life to Him. God has a template, a blueprint, a masterplan, for how He wants my life to go.
It is not about the length of sonship. It is about doing God’s will
It is His desire that I surrender my will to His and follow this blueprint.
And it is my choice to decide if I want to.
Of course, it is my self that will bear the consequences of whatever choice I make.
Becoming born-again isn’t enough to please God and spend eternity with Him. Doing His will is just as important!
Matthew 7:21- Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. (AMP)
He could be your ‘personal Lord and Saviour’ yet you disobey His will with your prideful and ‘know-it-all’ attitude.
Matthew 8:11-12- I tell you, many will come from east and west, and will sit at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, while the sons and heirs of the kingdom will be driven out into the darkness outside, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth. (AMP)
You can be a son of the kingdom and still be thrust out.
Are you ready and willing to follow His will?
