Hello Great people, how is the weekend going? 😍 Happy Sunday! You’d be surprised that my #BookCrush is coming to you on a Sunday. Yaay💃, I didn’t want to postpone this. Come with me as I review Truly, Madly, Deeply by Karen Kingsbury.
Ever since I started reading on Scribd, I have been committed to getting value for my money. If you have read my post on How to read consistently, you will understand better. Truly, Madly, Deeply has been my companion for some days now. I rounded up yesterday. Here is the gist:
THE STORY
Tommy fell in love with Analee and things were going on well, they had a sense of purpose, they had a glimpse of what God had in mind for them until Analee was diagnosed with a terminal illness. This illness threatened the promise they made to each other.
On the other hand, Reagan, Tommy’s mom, got the news that shook the core of her being till she found out she had allowed her fears and letting go, not minding the past was the only way out. Did she let go? Did the love between Tommy and Analee blossom despite all? Find out😌.
MY THOUGHT
I have always loved Karen’s books and this isn’t an exception. Though it was painful seeing my favourite character go through so much pain and threats. I almost cried at some points. The lessons and the journey to the climax etc were worth it in the end. The title, Truly, Madly, Deeply, fits the description of the love portrayed.
THE LESSONS
👉Knowing God’s promises does not mean we won’t face hard times
👉During hard times, keep holding on to God’s word. God’s Word is final. Every other thing will bow to it. Don’t change your confession
👉 As a parent, don’t impose your fears on your children. It can affect them psychologically
👉God can be trusted. His Word brings healing
👉True love exists. Forget the stories of woes.
👉 Regardless of your pain, keep extending the love of Christ to others.

Beautiful review, Karen is one of my favorite authors. I’m surprised I haven’t read this particular book, can’t wait to read it. Thanks for intro during us to scribd, will check it out. Somehow I feel like I’m familiar with the characters even though I haven’t read it. You said Tommy’s mum is Reagan. His father is Luke right? They had him out of wedlock? I may be wrong though. But I have been following the Baxter and Flannigan families for years. Lol.
